Michigan Bound

Jackson and I are on our way to 3.5 weeks in Michigan!

Jackson's Closet

I'm not sure the pictures do it justice, but the kid has got a lot of clothes!

Bruiser chilling on the beach

The warmer it gets here the more I'm deciding i LOVE it here.  It's been so nice and warm (80's) and I really do love it.  Joe's dad is here visiting so we headed to the beach yesterday afternoon and had a great time.   The beach was packed and the sunbathers were out.  The water has even started to warm up.  I've decided that I need to get out of the house a few times a week and take Jackson down there and walk the beach.  Let's see if I actually do it.

Big News!!

We have big some big news here in the Evenden house...Jackson slept through the night last night!  Now, this may not be huge news to anyone but myself, as I've been the one getting up with him at night, but I was quite excited.  He's been going down at night around 8pm and sleeping until 3 or 4am.  Last night he was with a baby sitter and she fed him at 7:30pm and I put him down for the night at 9:30 and he slept through until 5:30 this morning!

Monthly Update!

Well, once again I'm way delayed in updating, this seems to be a theme lately!  Life seems just a as crazy as every around here.  Jackson is doing well and is now 9 weeks old!  We went for his 2 month check up and it was quite the experience!  He started off by filling his diaper in the waiting room which is no biggie but then as soon as the nurse took off his diaper he peed everywhere including all over his clothes which she had laying under neath him.  I did not have another outfit with me as I had changed him right as we were walking out the door because he had thrown up all over himself.  So, back to the doctor visit.  After peeing everywhere she put a clean diaper on him (the last one I had with me) and he proceeded to fill it again!  Then as soon as we put his peed on clothes back on him he threw up the baby tylenol they had just given him so he had red goo all down the front of him.  He was one disgusting baby!

We've finally worked out some of his feeding issues which is making our days much more enjoyable.  He's not fussy much anymore and he's actually taking naps which allows me to get some stuff done sometimes!  Yeah for that.

We have decided that we are just going to call ourselves "hotel Evenden" as we've had so many guests since Jackson has been born.  My good friend Jessica was here last weekend and now Joe's dad is coming tomorrow for a few days.  He will be the 7th guest in 9 weeks!  Honestly, we have have loved having so many people visit us!

We've been planning a trip to Michigan for awhile now and it's coming up quick.  We have been planning on driving home for Joe's spring break but I got the great idea that Jackson and I could fly home the week before so that all the grandparents had a little extra time with him.  I found a great deal on a ticket which became a birthday present from my parents!  I'm really nervous to fly with Jackson for some reason, but I'm thinking we'll be ok.  We did realize yesterday that we have one small problem with the ticket I booked....I didn't double check the dates of Joe's spring break so it looks like Jackson and I are flying home TWO weeks before his break and will be in Michigan a total of 3 weeks!  I feel a little silly about it  but it looks like it's going to turn out for the best.  The second week I'm there is my mom's spring break and we think we're going to head to NY to visit with my Aunt and Uncle which we're excited about.

The only other thing going on with us is that I'm on the hunt for a job.  It's hard right now to find much of anything but I keep looking, keep your fingers crossed!
